OHSAS 18001
What is OHSAS 18001?
OHSAS 18001 is one of the most recognized international standards for the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and applies to all organizations in all sectors and activities. The purpose of the standard is to create procedures, forms and working instructions that will ensure the health of workers. Through these, care is taken to ensure the proper working environment, control of the environmental conditions (dust, odours, noise, radiation, light etc.) and the personal protection equipment (PPE) of each employee.
Stages of implementation of a STIMS
- Recording and evaluating the current situation
- Development of Occupational Risk Assessment Study (MEEK)
- Establish a timetable for taking the necessary measures
- Development of procedures and forms
- Documentation of Occupational Health and Safety Management System
- Training of CSO(s) responsible
- Staff training
- Support for system implementation and internal inspection
- Support during inspection by the certification body
- Support of the System after its Certification
